Naiads

NAIADS (Greek naiádes;
compare with nai­­ō, naō “to stream, to flow”)

in Greek mythology water ➚ nymphs dwelling in springs, streams and rivers. They were the offspring of ➚ Oceanus and ➚ Tethys [1]. Naiads had the power of healing. In genealogy they were often considered the primeval mothers.
